Excellent public relations skills.  Able to relate effectively not only to coaches and players, but also to peers, parents, and community groups.

 

Semi-professional playing experience as the starting goalkeeper for the Indiana Blaze.

EXPERIENCE

 

COACHING DIRECTOR.  FC Vancouver Soccer Club.  Vancouver, WA.  April 2006 – September 2007.

 

Responsible for the operations of all Premier programs including growth and development.

 

Manage all Premier coaches including resolving conflicts; providing coach guidance, education and training; hiring and firing; identifying prospective coaches; and conducting educational and informational meetings.

 

Implement a winter soccer academy as well as pre-tryout team “Kick Around” sessions to promote the club and identify players for the future.

 

 

 

SPRING ACADEMY DIRECTOR.  FC Vancouver Soccer Club.  Vancouver, WA.  Spring 2007.

 

Responsible for providing a coaching curriculum; hiring and training of academy coaches; produce shift schedules for all coaches, and developing and implementing a marketing effort.

Implement the club’s Winter Indoor Soccer Academy and serve as the coordinator and lead instructor.

 

Implement and/or improve club functions such as improving the club winter try-out system by developing procedures and organizing and developing procedures to promote utilization of the club website as the primary communication tool.

 

 

LIL’ KICKERS PROGRAM DIRECTOR.  Hillsboro, OR.  October 2005 – April 2006.

 

Responsible for the operations of the entire program including growth and development.

 

Manage all program coordinators and instructors; provide instructor guidance, education and training; hiring and firing; identify prospective program coordinators and instructors; and conduct periodic educational and informational meetings.

 

Schedule all classes and micro leagues, assign fields and times, and produce monthly shift schedules for all coordinators and instructors.

 

Implement and/or improve numerous program and facility functions such as providing enhanced parent and player education and vastly improving the facility’s overall registration process in all program areas by developing procedures, continually improving both program and facility communication as well as increasing marketing efforts by developing and implementing procedures.

 

 

HEAD GIRL’S 1992 SOCCER COACH OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.  Oregon Youth Soccer Association.  Oregon.  December 2006 – July 2008.

 

DIRECTOR OF COACHING.  Union County Soccer Association.  Charlotte, NC.  2003 – July 2005.

 

Responsible for the operations of all Challenge and Classic programs including growth and development. 

 

Managed all Challenge and Classic coaches and trainers including resolving conflicts; providing coach guidance, education and training; hiring and firing; identifying prospective coaches and trainers; and conducting periodic educational informational meetings.

 

Scheduled all Challenge and Classic practices, assigned fields and times, and served as the Challenge Field Coordinator in charge of game fields.

 

Implemented and/or improved numerous club functions such as revamping the club web site, providing enhanced parent and player education and vastly improving the club try-out system by developing procedures, organizing a volunteer base and developing and implementing a marketing effort.

 

Grew the club 67 percent in one year by bringing in new teams.

 

Served as the club’s goalkeeping coordinator providing year-round training through my No Goals Allowed goalkeeping academy, camps and clinics.  Also provided developmental training for field players of all levels through my First Touch soccer academy.

 

 

Represented the club at all state, regional and national coaching conventions, served as club Classic liaison to the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, and attended all director of coaching meetings held by the NCYSA.

Responsible for the provision of goal keeper training for teams of the association.  Also provided team training and consultation to coaches.  Assisted with the evaluation of players.  Provided parental education.
