Camas Washougal Soccer Club is proud to present its advanced competition club, the Washington Soccer Academy (WSA). WSA was formed from the merger of FC Vancouver and the Camas Washougal Soccer Club. The WSA will be the umbrella club for both the Select and Premier teams. The colors for both levels will be yellow and black.
WSA is committed to player development at all levels. We are serious about developing soccer players and WSA is the only club in SW Washington to employ "A" licensed coaches on our coaching staff. Our Director of Coaching, Gary Osterhage is the only "A" licensed DOC in Clark County and oversees all of our coach and player development focus.
It is absolutely imperative that foundational soccer skills be learned and honed at an early age for a player to be successful at the advanced competition soccer level. To that end, WSA has created the WSA Youth Development Academy under the direction of Scott Benedetti, Director of Youth Development. Scott is "A" licensed and is focused on developing our youngest soccer players ensuring they have the skills and direction to take their game to the highest level possible.
Camas Washougal Soccer Club offers an outstanding 3 tier soccer system in SW Washington featuring a place to play for soccer players of all ages, interest and skill levels. Our players can develop at his/her desired pace by taking advantage of the vast opportunities for training both tactically and technically – and all under one “roof”. This alliance features a dynamic Rec program, a well established Select level and the State and regionally recognized Premier soccer offering that Washington Soccer Academy brings.
Camas Washougal Soccer Club will retain its logos and royal blue and white uniform colors for the rec program. The rec program will also benefit by being able to take advantage of the variety of WSA coach and player training opportunities they will offer during the year. Players will be able to tryout at the same time for either the Premier level or the Select level. It should be noted here that the Premier level will continue to reach out to players throughout Vancouver, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Longview, Kelso, Portland, Gresham, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Oregon City and all of SW Washington and Oregon to build their teams; while the Select level will generally be a contingent of players from Camas, Vancouver, Washougal and surrounding areas.
